ARC, or Audio Return Channel, is a feature that allows for two-way communication of audio between a device like a television and a receiver or other device, as opposed to only sending audio from a source such as a Blu-Ray player to a television. ARC supports up to audio 6 channels compressed, for 5.1 channel audio or 2 channels uncompressed for stereo audio.
